Occupy Part II

I'm going to elaborate a little on my theory of how best for the Occupy movement to proceed here. As I've stated in postings placed in newspapers around the nation, camping out in parks has made all the impact it's going to. The minds that were to be changed have hardened against the views expressed, further continuance of this protest under it's current guise is counterproductive at best. If those of us who count ourselves amongst the 99% were to step back, and use the only effective tool in our box--dollars--, you'll all find that as the fable goes, 'the Emperor has no clothes'. The system you rail against depends entirely upon lemming like fealty to financial obligations. It's practically bred into our genes to respect the credit rating. Fact is we have all been standing in a government/corporate co-sponsored Kool Aid line for generations now. They count on the mantra like indoctrination we've all been imbued with: "work hard, pay your bills, and be good little boys and girls, and you'll all live happily ever after." This devise of propaganda didn't even work for the Grimm Bros., and it's clearly lost it's shine for most of us. So I'm going to paraphrase the first Mayor Dailey of Chicago here, and say "vote, and vote often"; not at the polls but with your dollars. No repayment of student loans, no payment of credit cards whose interest rates fluctuate with the cost of caviar, and most importantly-- extension after extension after extension filed with auntie Iris. Send her nothing but a greeting card filled with glad tidings.
